Hey everyone! This is my first build after a ~2 year hiatus. Couldn't decide on a 21:9 or 16:9 set-up, so why not both? 

 

PC 1 Specs - 

CPU - 7960x Delidded 4.4ghz @ 1.137v 

RAM - Gskill 32gb 3600mhz C16 

Motherboard - Rampage VI Extreme

Memory - 970 Pro 512gb 

GPU - Asus Strix 1060 

PSU - Corsair RM1000x

 

PC 2 Specs - 

CPU - i7 8086k Delidded 5.1ghz @ 1.410v 

RAM - Gskill 16gb 4600mhz C19 (XMP Profile unstable, so it's running 4266mhz C18 @ 1.35v)

Motherboard - Asus Strix z370-i 

Memory - 970 Pro 512gb 

GPU - Asus Strix 1070ti 

PSU - Corsair SF600

Why are the graphics cards so weak?

Cinebench R15 Single thread:168 Multi-thread: 833 

SuperPi (v1.5 from Techpowerup, PI value output) 16K: 0.100s 1M: 8.255s 32M: 7m 45.93s

Im currently building a "new" old system in a 800D, but man I would love to own a 1000D!!

 

Actually I have not thought of the 1000D as a 1 case 2 people situation before, to me it seems more obvious as a PC/NAS combo, gaming rig/streaming, power pc/daily driver and so on, for 1 person - but I must say, this is pretty clever....... In a few years time when my kids are old enough to use PCs then  maybe I should build something like that....

 

I love how we all inspire each other in forums like these, even if unintended to
