coming off what I would assume to be a laptop power adapter it would be a proprietary din connector. what is it for?

A Canvys Pixelink 19 LCD Touchscreen Monitor Model PC19057R. I bought it at goodwill for $5.99 with no power supply. Contacted company, they said pins 1 and 2 are +5v, 3 and 4 are ground. I need to know the pinout for the connector.

I checked everywhere and found no manual online. It seems to be a panel used for hospitals. I'd contact the company again for the pinout for the connector

I don't have one, so I don't know what "the same one" is.

Looks like this is the pinout, so I think I have found the correct one. I measured what pins are connected with my multimeter. See the source image

Imo I believe they're all the wiring are the same because they're going to be a lot of sparks flying if they aren't. I used to have that same type of power adapter for my external HDD  and on some Dell or Toshiba laptop. The only difference is the circumference, one for the laptop is much larger than for the external hdd.

DIN cables (so also the ones you buy from Amazon) do indeed have the same wiring. That’s the whole point of DIN: making everything standardised.

DIN can be different though.

6 pin DIN(usually in the form of PS/2) is quite different than the 4 pin DIN shown here.

Indeed, a 6 pin DIN connector is different than a 4 PIN.

However, every DIN 4 pin should be the same as any other DIN 4 pin. ;)

Remind me, were AT connectors 4 pin DIN?

EDIT: my bad, they were 5 pin DIN.
