Well, the FX 6300 is a speed limiter, I can say that.

Cable management is exceptional.

Should upgrade to Ryzen straight from the 6300. The 8350 really isn't worth it.

Let's just say you go for a R5 2600, 16GB DDR4 memory and a high end B350 mobo.

R5 2600 - $190

16GB @ 3000mhZ - $150

MB - $90

R7 2700 + 16GB + X470 board

R7 2700 - $290

16GB @ 3000mhZ - $150

MB - $140

You could save with similarly performing last gen parts, such as the R5 1600 for $160 or the R7 1700 for $220.

My bad on not quoting you. What about the FX-9000 series chip, I know none of the FX can compare to the new AM4 chips, but until i can get enough to get the top of the line AM4 Motherboard(only way i will upgrade my motherboard, to future proof it), the Crosshair V formula has lasted me since 2011, I want to make sure i get something that will last as long. I saw one of the linus episodes where the MB already had the VRM/MOSET set with a water block. I have found that watercooling everything you can, really does keep your components from failing, well at least in my experience.  I know i dont need a threadripper(yet) so that isnt a problem, and I dont want any RAM with heat spreaders, and so far its 140 for 2x8GB. so i would say around 600-700 total, most of it will be the motherboard. Will my Seasonic 750w 80 plus gold PSU be enough? I appreciate your feedback.

not bad for a water cooled build?

I already have 90% of the water cooling parts, If and when I do upgrade to AM4, i would need an AM4 CPU block, and Motherboard Block, but hopefully i can get the motherboard with the built in block.

9000 series chips is a overclocked 8000 series chip.

Why would you buy a high end motherboard? A mid range X470 unit would do you very well and last you for a very long time (10-20 yrs). This isn't 2006 where the caps will blow.

What SeaSonic Gold is this?

Well you know my fears, lol.  The PSU is a Seasonic X750. As long as there is a block for the board, i would buy mid-range, but i will have to look at EKs site, and/or whoever i could find that supports it.
