Galax's misleading ssd product

i just bought an SSD 120gb  (galax ta1d0120a) in their website it says: Sequiential Read/Write Speed (6Gb/s)1: Up to 528/447 Mb/s

but when i tested the SSD with CrystalDiskMark it shows horrible results: 

is this somekind of misleading context or just some SSD logic?

what's your motherboard ?
what interface you using ?

its a laptop, sata 3 interface

Up to that speed, doesnt mean it cant be slower.

if the manufacturer said in their website, so is the SSD

not samsung 

numbers on benchmark are close to the manufacurer claims

if the manufacturer said in their website, so is the SSD 

you dont understand what is 'up to'. It works just like the speed limit of a road, doesnt mean you cant drive at a lower speed. In an SSD, that means it can be that fast 'at best', could be worse.

then maybe pay more for Samsung next time. You get what you paid for after all.

Lel, even my $23 Kingspec is faster than that drive. You never know what you get with cheapo SSDs. Name brands don't exist just because they lure people into buying more expensive stuff, they simply make better stuff.

ever heard of apple and their pro lineup?

-I would complain to the seller, and get a refund if you are not happy with your item. Then save up a bit and buy a mx500 or 860 evo.

Yes, and those products are great in many ways. I know you weren't expecting someone here to like Apple, but hey, too bad

Galax is a great brand for GPUs, but companies like that branching out to other products is usually a bad idea, which you've discovered. Samsung, Kingston, Adata, Sandisk and Crucial make decent SSDs. WD also.

"Up to" is their way of saying you might get these speeds, you might not, deal with it. Purely legally speaking, they're not lying. Misleading at best.
