Im new at this whole pc thing so im just wondering if this build looks appropriate for a budget project. Im also wondering if itll blow up lol.

Intel - Celeron G3950 3GHz Dual-Core Processor

Thermaltake - CLP0556-B 39.7 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler

MSI - B250 PC MATE ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

Kingston - FURY 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory

Western Digital - Caviar Green 500GB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive

MSI - GeForce GT 710 1GB Video Card

DIYPC - Zondda-B ATX Mid Tower Case

Corsair - Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Idk if i have to have all of this but please reply and tell me if i do and if these are good. Im using pc part picker. It says the overall wattage is 167W and that the parts are compatible. Im just making sure they are.

I'm pretty sure the igpu on the celeron is better than the gt 710 tbh. The psu is overkill. Invest in more ram since most titles today will run on 8gb. (16gb if you are gonna run on the igpu)

I would try to up the budget a bit and get something like this:

*Note: While the PSU listed below is overkill, it's the same price as the 450 watt version and will allow you to toss in a powerful GPU later on when the iGPU doesn't cut it anymore.

Not really, you'll be lucky to get only decently playable FPS at 720P with a 710

I would push for the 2200G if possible. Just need to read some board reviews and make sure it's coming with the latest BIOS (which it should by now so the worry is minimal) or keep a local shop that can update it for like $5 in mind.
