Does s8 need a screen protector??

I just started using s8 and i already have faced that s8 with a back cover and a screen protector does obstruct the touches. Then i order a Spigen Rugged Armor Extra Case with no screen protector.

I don't think I'll ever understand the mentality of making your phone shitty and bulky for the entire time you have to use it so that you can get an extra $5 from it when you come to sell it.

No I have one and have tried a couple for the hell of it.  None really do anything and they kinda muk up the screen.  The hard plastic ones are the worst and pop off since the adheasive only applies to the edges

no phone ever needs a screen protector. there is a layer of glass on your screen already.

do you want to keep the phone entirely scratch-free for resale value? well then you might need one. otherwise, don't bother with it.

If it obstructs the touch functionality then no. I've always used one though and seen them shatter when I've dropped the phone. Thank god it was that and not the actual screen. Hence the whole point of them.

A phone case is more important in my opinion, the screen is pretty durable already.

I don't put screen protector on my phones, well they're scratched but still work like charm. Well if you don't want yours to be scratched then might be worth getting one.

i had my s8 for a year now and never needed a screen protector. i have even dropped it once (with a case) and no damage

I have never used one on any of my phones... Haven't noticed any scratches so far...

Nope. Both of my S8s survived multiple falls from 6ft eithout glass breaking.

Couple of things.. first... it is going to be extremely difficult to get a good fitting screen protector for a curved screen. Even on something with more subtle curves, like a "2.5D" screen, you aren't going to get edge to edge coverage. Samsung's curved screens are a nightmare to design for, especially for tempered glass.

As for if you need them... You don't. The glass is fairly resilient, but it is still glass. All it takes is a few grains of sand in your pocket, etc, and that sucker will get scratched up right good. Fact is that the world is filled with bits of stuff that will mark up your screen, either with fine scratches you may only see when the light hits it just so, or a substantial gouge that you can see no matter what. If you are OK with that, go without.

Should I use soft screen protector?

It is more case friendly and touch responsive.

That thing is the most fragile phone ever made you probably want a case and screen protector! O3O (note: repair cost around 350$)
