PSU Cable Comb Color

So I am waiting on my paycheck to come in so I can breakdown and buy individually sleeved psu cables. I am going with white and black. I want to get combs, but I am not sure which I should I go with. Should it be white, black, or transparent combs?

Instructions for frustration management:  

1) Sit at desk.   2) Repeatedly slam forehead against desk.

 

I never said I was smart, just smart enough to be dangerous.

If you're buying white and black cables, I'd personally go for the transparent combos so that none of the colours will pop out more than the other.

Assuming you're mixing both black and white within the same cable (24 pin, 8 pin EPS, 6+2 PCI-E), I'd probably go with clear combs, that way, they dont stand out as much. There's also two styles, the clip on style, and the more permanent over the cables.

Personally I kinda like the look of the over the cable combs, so if you're buying from a company that offers those, I'd get them. I think they also hold the cables together a bit better. The clip ones though are better if you're indecisive and want to change them out for any reason

@dual290x Black is my preferred - otherwise transparent also looks great with such a setup.

I started thinking about the comb colors and adding green (not just because of nvidia but because I have always liked green). Which pattern should I go with. My build is black and white with green coolant for watercooling coming very soon.

I think it depends on exactly how much white, black and green you already have in the system. For example if the only green is from the nvidia gpu (white RAD and black fittings) then you might want to consider slightly more green for the PSU cables. (I'm assuming Green loop fluid?) Perhaps a similar pattern to the one Cablemod posted but replaces all the black with green.

The MSI Z97s Krait Edition has black and white on it with black ram sticks and white ram sticks from Kingston Hyperx (sorry I am at work and not close to my pc to make a picture). Green from 980 GPU and coolant will be green as you assumed.

So you are thinking something like this?

Remember, you can have white connectors aswell, I guess it depends on your over all theme
