245.00 USD
US Dollar (USD)
1 USD = 1.3319 CAD
326.30 CAD
Canadian Dollar (CAD)
1 CAD = 0.75084 USD
6/26/2018 10:30 PM

so still cheaper than today (400$)

How does 1 USD equate to 1.33 CAD, but 1 CAD is 0.75 USD? The ratios don't make sense.

Also, GPU mining drove prices through the roof for a while. They're just now starting to come back down.

I bought mine in October of last year for $259.  I just missed the large jump in prices, talk about lucky.

I got mine for $215 back in May of 2017. I think it was a MSI GT-OCV1 or something like that.

I've seen them go for as low as $210 - specifically EVGA's SC Gaming mini.

You could regularly catch them on sale for around $230.  I bought my powercolor red devil rx480 in december of 2016 for $250 and remember having to think really hard about whether or not it was worth it to spend the extra on an 8gb rx480 and a little extra for that card over the amd reference cards since I have always been kind of an ati/amd fanboy but my last 2 cards had been nvidia and I wanted to try out the amd cards again.  I only upgrade every 5 years or so, so I wanted something to last.  My previous setup before that was sli gtx 470's which came out in 2010.  I also remember being pretty upset because about a week after I bought my card it went on sale for $200 after a MIR.  a few months later I was considering either going to a crossfire setup or getting another 16gb of ram and when i looked up gpu's and ram I was blown away because the prices for them had almost doubled at that point.

Coincidentally this is actually really easy to simplify

1.33 = 4/3 (Or 1 1/3)
0.75 = 3/4

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

I would go with PRAXIS or anything useful, over that.

I got my GTX 1080 STRIX OC in June 2017 for $671 CAD which was  about $500 USD at that time. Then I got my Zotac GTX 1050Ti Mini in March 2018 for $181 CAD.
