Sapphire Vega 56 vs Zotac GTX 1080

Currently on Newegg they are selling a Sapphire Pulse Vega 56 for $500 and a Zotac GTX 1080 for $480. Links here:

I am a big fan of Sapphire's cards and planned on getting that card until I saw this deal. I don't know much about Zotac so if you could share some experiences that would be cool. I do plan on overclocking the Vega 56 which has been known to overclock extremely well, beating a stock Vega 64 in some cases. With all this in mind, what do you think is the better deal? I'm inclined to buy the Sapphire because of the good experiences I've had with them but more than anything I want to get the best performance for my money.

 

Also, with Bitcoin dropping do you think GPU prices will also continue to drop? My upgrade is in preparation for BF5 which comes out later this year, so I could wait.

 I mean the 1080 is the better deal if you're looking into gaming, it's cheaper while being more powerful.

 

If you have a free sync monitor and really really like supporting AMD though that's up to you, the V56 is more of a overclocked GTX 1070... Still pretty decent specially for 1080p

Wow, only a 2 year warranty on both of those cards. Compared to others at 3 years.

the 1080 will perform better than the vega 56, the vega 56 performs inbetween the 1070 and 1070ti.

IMHO performance wise the vega 56 is worth a fair bit less than GTX 1080..so yeah
