You don't know where to buy a SteamLink?

lol no, I mean these deals are specific to certain countries, hence why it's a rule to mention it when posting in this section

This, and also you can totally buy Steamlink from Amazon, Newegg, etc and I'm sure price varies from country to country; original link was to Steam store US.  Here is again for anyone who doesn't feel like scrolling back up.

I have a steam link already...bought it with a DOOM bundle a year ago that had the game, link, and controller with it...I think the steam link was a dollar something back then (plus shipping). Mainly bought it for the steam controller... Have to say the steam link is kind of nice to have, played it once or twice on my TV in the rec room. I personally don't use it though. If i have my main PC on to game anyway I tend to just play on that. But it is nice when friends want to play they can stay on the couch and off my PC.

There's no place like ~

Heard it's sluggish if you do.

maybe you should test it before you say stuff. I have no issues and I use it to watch youtube on my TV and ive used it for skyrim, stick of truth and gmod buts thats all since I got it for free when it was bundled with the game ICEY and I just refunded the game lol. so its not like I bought it to use it.

How do you check location pricing for steam? It usually won’t even tell you prices of other countries without physically going there or changing your store.

No one's expected to figure out every place a deal isn't available, (unless the company is kind intelligent enough to just flat out say it on their sale page) but they are expected to say where it is available.  So for example, if you're in the US and you notice the sale is on, just put "[US]" in the title.  If it turns out to be available in other places, someone will probably notice it and mention it.

Generally speaking this isn't an issue because most stores are either a) local (if it's on in one country that's the only place it's on in), or b) global (so country doesn't apply or matter), and regardless easy to check for in other places (Amazon.com vs Amazon.co.uk vs Amazon.ca, etc.), but this is one area where, like many others, Steam is "special" unfortunately.
