I've had great success with the Netgear GS205/GS208 models. They have activity lights on all the ports whereas the ones you're suggesting do not. Excellent performance on my all GBE network.

Product comparison SG1005D - SG105

SG105 was released in 2012, SG1005 was released in 2015 and likely slightly updated. Get the newer one?

great, newer one comes cheaper as well, dont know why

whatever has the ammount of ports you need and is currently on sale?

If you don't need a smart (manageable) switch, you pretty much can't go wrong with the cheapest thing you find, provided it's from a reputable brand and retailer with solid warranty coverage

Hold on, that's NOT a 1000Mbs, or Gigabit, switch

It's just 100Mbs

If you want Gigabit (1000Mbs), get the TL-SG105

EDIT:  $H!T, I thought you wrote SF1005D

SG1005D is Gigabit allright

Most unmanaged switches offer the same experience and there's little difference between them for a home environment.

Usually you'd just pick the speed (gigabit), port count, and aesthetic/styling you want.  I use a lot of the Trendnet metal gig ones but they're all pretty much synonymous.

So went with TP-Link SG1005D, getting between 70-90 mb/s transfer speed. Pretty good hack with a 15€ small unit.
