I'm VegetaFajita.

I built my first computer in 2009, and I'm probably just a wee bit late to registering on here.

I still run my i7 920 on the original board, and have only updated my GPU, ram, case, cooling, and PSU over the last 10 years.

Still runs 1080p at 60. 2k and 4k in some games  as well. I have a article I'm  intending on writing about my i7920 when it finally kicks.

I still have a first gen core i7, It was in my first real gaming PC.

 

 

Nothing wrong with the good old CPUs. LGA1366 CPUs are dirt cheap now. I was running every game in my steam library at 1080p no problems. The GPU and adding RAM was really the only thing I upgraded in the 10 years I had it.

Mine has been through 2 water spills, a power supply failure, and possibly it might be going through another psu failure atm. It's a trooper and accepts some pretty unusually high clocks.

People in VC enabled games like PUBG constantly fuck with me for it, usually because they're not saying it right. Those that do notice the play on words, do, and say what you do.
