Is that the flex tape on the info commercial where the guy cuts a boat in half and tapes it, or a bucket with a hole in it or a eaves trough.

 

There are no thermal qualities for that tape to sink the heat.

That is just putting tape on your cpu. The heat transfer is non existant, and the cpu will get so hot it will auto shut off before you get to windows. Also this topic is better fit for "off topic"

it's more of an insulator if anything... so It likely won't do anything at all. you are in fact probably better off running without anything than flex tape...
