Which GPU for Skyrim V SE

MrBucket101

I recently got my wife into gaming on the switch with Breath of the Wild. She's nearly 100% that game, and I purchased her Skyrim on the switch. She absolutely loves the open world games. Thinking about showing her Fallout 4 next.

She wants to try skyrim on PC, and possibly play other similar games. She has been complaining about the graphics on skyrim for the switch, as they're not as good as BOTW. So I'd like to get her something that could play games on High. Maybe ultra for the older titles?

Here is her current rig. I put in an old 770 I had.

With her monitor being 3440x1440, I'm not really sure how to judge which GPU would be best suited for her. It's also only 60hz. I'm not really sure how to j

For 1440p ultrawide in Skyrim you're probably okay with a 1060 6GB. If AAA games are a priority (Skyrim isn't anymore) then I'd look at a 1070Ti or better (like GRW, FC5, etc.)

Please note the SE in Skyrim SE. It's not the same ;) at 1440p in Skyrim SE even a RX570 can't maintain 60 fps.

What is the difference between the two? I booted it up because I got it free and they both look visually the same...

SE is basically remastered. It runs on the same engine as fallout4 with upgraded textures and visuals.

Supposedly has improved graphical fidelity (higher texture detail mostly). I'm just going on numbers here, Skyrim isn't my cup of tea.
