Do all ram work with Ryzen?

Hi I’m getting a Ryzen 5 2600x cpu and a x470-f gaming motherboard from Asus and now I’m looking a ram. I found the G.Skill sniper X and here is the model number F4-2666C19D-16GSXK. And I’m wondering do all ddr4 ram work with Ryzen and do this ram work work with my build?

RAM is universal. It works for any CPU/Mobo

You should check the Qualified Vendor List for your motherboard to see if that kit is actually listed.

 

Theoretically, all memory will work at JEDEC speeds (ddr4-2133), but in reality, individual discrepancies between kits, timings, etc may make it hard to know for sure - -especially if the board ships with an early firmware revision. If you're worried about compatibility and want to ensure the kit will run at it'srated speed, buy something that's on the QVL.

It isn't. Compatibility can differ greatly for some architectures.

Personally I would be looking for higher speed ram but yeah as stated, just check the mobos vendor list

That kit should be fine with your build. Is wouldn't worry about it as much as last generation ryzen. They improved their memory controllers quite a bit and that kit is a relatively good one when it comes to compatibility with ryzen.
