ethernet ports and sharing...

my computer has two ethernet ports one giving it internet and one doing nothing, could I use the second port as an ethernet out for a second computer?

@Domi-NateShould be able to by using internet sharing and bridging the connections.

You probably could. But getting a switch to attach both systems to your wired Ethernet would be a much better solution.

Why use an inferior solution that doesn't scale?

If another thing needs to be added down the line then OP is back at square one. Plus you have to have the first computer online all the time for the second to get internet.
