I'd swap the PSU for a CX/m unit from Corsair.

Also, personally I'd also rather go for a B350 and 1600, than an X370 with the lowest end chip.

edit - The SSD is also pretty trash after doing a bit of digging on it.

I agree, but I’d still like to save money. As well as an upgrade path be clear

There's saving money, and there's making a stupid decision whilst trying to save money. This would be the latter.

For an extra $30-40 overall it's more than worth it.

Edit - you can even keep a good quality X370 board actually.

Get an asrock x370,

R5 1600,

And no need for a liquid cooler, literally no reason at all, the 1600 stock cooler is very good.

Unless he wants to push for 3.9/4Ghz with it the stock cooler will be enough.

Or if he gets a good chip and doesn't need over about 1.35 volts to hit 3.9/4ghz :P

Yeah but no need to get a liquid cooler with a r3 1200. I just said that even if he got the 1600 he would still not need it.

I was meaning if he did get the 1600, cause then he would need it if he wanted to push it to its limits.

Lol I see where you all come from but I need that rgb, and I need that good look. I’m sorry if you don’t agree but it has to look good.

Well if you insist on getting the fans and the "bling" atleast change the PSU to something that doesn't risk blowing your system up once youve built it, and an SSD that doesn't risk immediately corrupting all your data lol.

Focus on getting a decent system. RGB fans are not that expensive and easily added at a later date.
