How do I Install windows 10 on an SSD

I know I am asking one of the stupidest questions here, but bare with me please.

Tomorrow I will get my new PC with a 1TB HDD and 120 GB SSD

I have windows 10 on a flash drive and I want to ask what do I have to do once I get my PC.

From what ive heard I first have to change the boot settings and then put in the flash drive, but I watched so many different videos that im not sure anymore.

Easiest way:

Plug in the SSD and unplug the HDD (or leave it unplugged if you're building it yourself). This will mean you only have one option to install the OS on, to avoid accidentally installing it on the HDD or something.

Plug in the flash drive and boot up the PC into the BIOS. Go to the boot settings and make the flash drive the first drive in the boot order (or, if the BIOS gives you an option to select a device to boot from, select the flash drive and go ahead)

You'll boot into the installer, then you just need to follow the steps there.

Once it's installed, go back to the BIOS and change the boot order to have the SSD that the OS is installed on as the first boot option.

Turn the system off, plug the HDD in, then boot up. It should automatically boot into Windows from the SSD.

But after I plug in the HDD how do I partition it ?

When you're in Windows, open up Disk Management.

Once you're there, you'll see a list of the drives that are connected (a table of drive at top and partition info below). You may need to initialise the drive first. To do that, you need to right click on the drive in the bottom section and select initialise disk (or an option that's worded similarly, it may not be exactly that).

Once you've done that (or if you didn't need to do that), you should see a block of unallocated space in the bottom section on Disk Management. Right click on that and select "New Simple Volume", then follow the setup wizard.

Yes, you can do that. When you create a new volume, it should ask you what size you want it to be during the setup wizard. Select the size you want, then you'll finish by assigning a drive letter. Then create a new volume on the remaining unallocated space and follow the same steps.
