How do you know how much Hz a monitor can be overclocked to? I was able to overclock my really old HP2010i from 60 to 65hz

You should just assume it can't be overclocked much at the native resolution if at all.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Why not go for the best of all worlds?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-24MP59G-Monitor-DisplayPort-Freesync/dp/B0713P1KLJ

Notes:

1. I know it has to cheat to get 1ms response time, its actually a 4ms panel...

2. It is slightly more expensive but hey ho, it has everything you'd want so its probably worth the extra? :D

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

You don't

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

It strobes the backlight in a way that you will not be able to see the transition between frames/images and it 'overdrives' the monitor which reduces blur/response time but it may create a tiny bit of artifacts.
