So it's what the GTX 1080 was? Maybe slightly faster than the 1080ti with the mid range chip at an inflated MSRP?

Navi save us!

imagine the TI :P:P

Unfortunately, if current buildout is followed, and AMD Navi is targeting the bang for buck segment - which is both an great marketing decision and a great financial one from AMD - there'll be no competition to this. The "1180 ti" may either never arrive or it'll arrive purely to downplay a future high end AMD release - if one happens. People with 1080ti now wont have a big enough gain to want to upgrade, and people with anything lower will be priced of the market by miners and availability.

As @DrMacintosh said... unimpressed.

If the Vega 56 refresh is just 7nm vega with fixed primitive discard and it's like $299 that'd be amazing.

I just wish we had some info on Navi if it's really going to be Multi-die like Ryzen.

It's just an over clocked titan with gddr6 memory a little faster memory. More people can hit the 1080ti overclocked numbers.

What will be interesting is ray tracing support.

But it seems a bit 6700k to 7700k a bit meh.

Multi die is likely the next amd cards. Given the Zen team is now working on pushing GPU forward. The whole two cores on ryzen working as one through the fabric they want to do in GPU.

But we are probably talking 1080ti performance. With very little overclocking ability and a ton of heat and power.

I think the 1180ti would be the one to wait for. Probably when the 1180 comes out could be a good time to buy a 1080ti.

Rumour is two Vegas on one card.

Drivers will likely be bad at first then get better.

Amd can't compete at the top end otherwise.

Vega 56 at like 75W had the performance of an RX 570/580 for me.

Vega is fairly efficient when you aren't dumping loads of voltage through it. The Vega nano might still be a thing with it's 150W or less TDP.

I think later this year will be interesting amd are driving some competition. That's great for all us even on the green team. Nvidia probably have two newer chips they can release but why if there is nothing to compete with it. Let's hope amd makes them :) 1180ti please...

I don't think you get what I'm saying.  If that's a suggested result that I get it means that lots of other people have googled "wccftech clickbait"

if you've found the site via google maybe that beast is not as tamed as you once thought ;)

WCCFtech? sigh

If this is true, wake me up when Turing's successor releases. Sure I'll miss out on all that fancy RTX on the new tensor cores, but oh well. Next generation will have it down to a T.

A $450 1170 that trades blows with the 1080ti would be my pick, or a sub $300 1160 that's between the 1070 and 1080.
