When will B450 or X470 mATX motherboards will be released?

I want to build a compact computer, so either mATX or ITX. Currently there are only ATX motherboards and ONLY SINGLE ASUS ITX motherboard... Where are all the mATX?

I heard rumours what B450 will be released at Q3 but I just can't believe that...

mATX is a less popular format than the other two, so the lack of the boards is somewhat understandable.

You can use ITX B350s/X370s, but the Asus X470-I is probably the best ITX so far.

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

Majority, if not all, users do not even need ATX format motherboards, especially with mainstream processors such as Ryzen R3-R7... Such massive motherboards and cases just waste space.

Yes, but B350 and X370 will have less support, they are less stable with various RAMs and there are some reports of various problems being caused while using Ryzen 2000 CPUs. Precision Boost overdrive, store MI does not work. Also, all Zen 1 mATX motherboards are poor at best, AB350M ASROCK PRO4 is the best out of them with kinda OK VRMs.

I would go with Asus X470-I but that 6+2 phases VRM is just awful. Imagine, how it would be able to sustain R7 2700X OC while other motherboards, such as X470-f Strix reach even 70 degrees in C while having 10 Phase DIGI+. 4 C behind stands Crosshair VII with 12 Phase DIGI+ VRM. As there is a high chance for Zen 2-3 having more than 8 cores (possibly 12 cores in X700 model), getting such weak VRM might cause shortening the lifespan of the VRM and voltage(=clocks) of the CPU as I am looking forward to upgrade to Zen 2-3.

Some people have lots of space, plus ATX mobo just more room for RGB :P

mATX isn't that popular, nor is MITX compared to ATX. You'll have to live with the fact that there really isn't high market demand.

:( So you think Q3 is most likely for B450?

And what are your guesses, will there be X470 mATX?

Late Q2 (Computex in Taipei) is my guess.

Likely,

no. X370 didn't have mATX, so probably not, but I could be wrong.

70°C is fine, i am using X370-F, it has the same VRM ad X470-F and no problem.

X470-I is very similiar, it has 6+1 phase with pretty good parts, but worse heatsink.

There are a couple of X370 mATX boards. But they were shit.

I am hanging out for B450/X470 mATX. We just want something high end with good VRM's etc.

I'm pretty disappointed too :( mAtx is the perfect form factor size vs features. m.2 on front (vs overheating on rear of itx boards). Good room for VRM

Intel has tons of mAtx boards. First gen ryzen had some excuse, but now demand is high for AMD.

Completely agree with the requirement of mATX boards, I am on the lookout for a decent one, yet to no avail.
