Will Having A Integrated Gpu And A Normal Gpu Increse Preformance

Ok, soo I have a apu and when I was cleaning my adic I found my old pc.

I remembered all the games I chould play like skyrim and stuff...

I'm thinking of adding the old gpu into my current pc, and will it increse preformance because I already have a built in gpu.

Your iGPU will be disabled if you add in a dedicated GPU. You'll probably getter better performance unless your dedicated GPU is really really bad.

Generally no, they won't work together but depending on what the regular GPU is it might be more powerful than your iGPU.

You gotta tell us what iGPU and GPU. Otherwise I don't have a clue, for all I know you might have a 2400G and GT 210

If you have an old amd apu and the same gen gpu you can run them in crossfire, but other than that no.

 

Can you give us more of that sweet sweet entity that resolves uncertainty or provides the answer to a question of some kind? (information for short)

If you install a Graphics card it will disable the integrated GPU therefore they won't run together like in some kind of SLI set up. Another way to think about it is that when you connect a HDMI cable from the GPU to the monitor, the computer will be utilising the graphics card and not the iGPU to do all the graphics processing.

While that would work, the performance increase would be next to nothing...

 

Even as far back as the A6-5400K, it wasn't worth it to Crossfire them.
