Unfortunately for Linus, the integrated ads (Sponsorship) do not nearly cover his operating expenses and wages that he must pay himself (man's gotta eat!) as well as his 3 employees. Without the youtube ad revenue, Linus Media Group could not exist with the quality we now enjoy.

 

I get that people hate ads, and yeah they can be super annoying, but I personally believe that if you like and watch his media, you should just force yourself to watch the ads. I rarely come across an ad that I can't skip or lasts longer then 15 seconds.
