Info about games and cd key being sold appart?

i wanna buy a game but it says that its just the cd key key. Where is the whole game?

Or i gotta buy the game and the cd key apart?

You buy the key and download the game though whichever store or client it comes on.

Depends on the game and where you buy it from but yes, the clients are free. They sell you the CD Key and you download the game and activate it with the key.

yea but it say "buy game" cant see anything like download game

That's what they mean. After you buy it they'll give you a link to download it, or you just activate it on steam or something. Depends on what game and where you're buying it from.

using steam as an example you can buy a key that will work with steam, then you open steam and you add that key and the game shows up in your games list so you can download it, from my experience with Origin, they are selling you said steam key

Key is license to play game. Installers have always been free. They've just shipped them in one package with CD and cdkey (or DVD). With client software you can purchase from their store, or redeem code purchased from another store.
