yes there is an asus laptop with a desktop ryzen 7 1700(non x cos tdp) but its paired with a power hungry rx 580. maybe some clevo laptop have ryzen 7 as well?

1700 is a desktop CPU. You could put it in a laptop but you'll not get a great battery life.
The mobile version is 2700U and it has only four cores.

To be specific: R7 2700U. 4 cores 8 threads. Performance between 7300HQ and 7700HQ.

oh yea, also need to see if they fixed the stupid heatsink not touching dram issue too LOL. I've been out of the game for a while. Died at my job.

 

But the solution to all your problems is some heatsink bending, some FJ thermal pads + Perfectly Applied LM. There are not many laptops that suck ass at temps after you mod it the fuck up. LM works really well on essentially direct die cooling of laptops.

Glad to see that you're back. I'm tired dealing with some annoying guys in laptop related posts.

 

I mean, it's frustrating to see when you realized that you need to do some modding onto your laptop so that the cooling works properly, despite paying a high price.
