4GB Ram Upgrade Bios detects 3264MB win wont boot

MB MS-7337 Neo-F

RAM 2x2GB Corsair

CPU Athlon 4400+

So i used to have 2GB+1GB today got second same 2GB stick to upgrade to 4GB. Win7 gets stuck on loading. BIOS detect only 3264MB. Tested both stick alone both detects 2048MB and boots.

Read something about memory remapping but cant find that option in BIOS.

Sounds like the 2 ram sticks are different enough the mobo doesn't like both together.

What are the specs of each stick?

Make sure they are both ddr3 or ddr4. No cross compatibility

No, you probably weren't. The chips are different, but the PCBs are the same, must be some sort of universal setup Corsair used for budget memory sets. Yes, Corsair used Qimonda chips back in DDR2 days, not sure if that's still the case nowadays. Same part number doesn't mean they could be originally sold as a dual-channel kit, so they may be not okay working with each other.

What is your graphics card? If you're using the on-board graphics it might be hogging up your RAM.

Edit: Ah just read Win7 hangs up. Also internal graphics shouldn't take more than 256Meg I believe.

So I guess they just may be not compatible.

Nah I think it's clear enough: They work separately, but not when used together. As I said, same part number doesn't guarantee it's going to work in dual channel(or together at all) if they weren't sold as a kit. And given that those use different chips, it's even more likely that's the case here.

can I somehow run them in single channel ? cause I used 1GB kingston and 2GB corsair and they worked together
