Weeb Culture

Just curious to see where people draw the line. I made a baka anime joke and got a weeb response. It was a joke and I'm not full weeb, but I do like anime. So where is the point at which one goes from liking anime to being a weeb? Is there a specific action or is it maybe a particular anime that make a weeb? Where is the line drawn for you?

For my answer I think it would be having partially nude figurines or body pillows in the bedroom. Basically trying to bring the 2-D "Plot" into the 3D world

My line is when people start unironically adding Japanese words to sentences.

The definition of being a weeb is a non-asian that enjoys the otaku-culture and japanese culture without taking the time to actually get to know it and in turn being offensive to the japanese culture. Typically pretending to be japanese.

I speak german, japanese, and english and I use all 3 for sentences to upset people. I dont interlope them in the same sentence though.

Yeah but internet culture today turned it into a memey way of addressing otakus in general. Just like minecraft kiddies calling people "noobs" as an insult when it means "newbie".

I'll agree with you up to noob, that didn't start in minecraft. That was a roblox thing, I was on roblox when that culture took off. I was on a game when some teenage was berating a little kid for being bad at the game and I told him he was bad at english, since noob isn't a word. He responded back with a link to urban dictionary and the slang definition of noob. I told him to find it in a miriam webster dictionary and come find me when he did. He shut up real quick

Worshipping for sure, but is it really wrong to wish I was in a different country or culture if where I am is currently filled with... not even sure what to call what's going on here, and i know the mods don't like politics so yeah.
