Download the latest Windows 10 install media using the Media Creation tool and install with that instead. Why bother installing with an outdated image when you can easily download a new one for free.

i dont want the latest version if all your going to do is tell me to update dont bother replying i dont want it, and thats not what i messaged about.

1) The reason it automatically updates is so that people like you, who think it's ok to disable updates, don't get security issues in your OS.

2) If you don't like new features you can either disable them, uninstall them (if they are apps) or simply not use them and they will not bother you.

3) Use the quote button when replying to someone.

You can do this:

Open the start menu and type "Services".

Open Services, and scroll down until you see Windows Update.

Right-click Windows Update and select Properties.

Click the drop-down box for Startup Type, and choose Disabled. Click Apply.

Also, if the Stop button isn't greyed out after clicking Apply, then click Stop, to stop the Windows Update service.

Then close the windows. Windows Update will be disabled.

If you ever want to re-enable Windows Update, then open the same Services and Windows Update properties window, and choose Automatic from the drop-down box, and press Apply, or OK.

Here's a video guide that shows all your Windows Update options in Windows 10 1511:

The first guide he goes through, involving Services, is the one that you want to do to disable Windows Update permanently (unless you choose to re-enable it, later).

In Windows 10 1709, an extra step needs to be done:

While in the properties panel for the Windows Update service, after disabling the Window Update service, then a person needs to click on the Recovery tab, and set the drop-down boxes to the following:

First failure: Take no action

Second failure: Take no action

Subsequent failures: Take no action

And also set the "Reset fail count after _ days" to 0. So, it would be: Reset fail count after 0 days
