680 upgrade to 780 or wait for the 9XX?

Money isn't tight at the moment and I'm thinking about upgrading, I use the computer mostly for gaming and media. I'm wondering if it's worth the upgrade at the moment or to wait. I am currently using a Asus 680 directcu II

Yup, either go with SLi or wait a few months for Maxwell to come out. It seems like they just introduced Titan and the 7xx series not that long ago...

Wait for Maxwell, 6xx and 7xx were the same architecture, but maxwell is using a different manufacturing process, less power consumption and more performance

All the 7XX except the 780 is GK104. 780 is GK110 just like Titan and 780ti.

Save and wait for maxwell, else if get 780ti if maxwell is a failure.

 

(i find it kind of funny that people upgrading from a great card, i'm just now upgrading to an r9 290 from a 550ti)
