So after some consideration I've decided to build my own NAS instead of buying one. Of course the cost will be a lot more but, where's the fun in purchasing a pre-made solution?

Components (overkill):

ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 GAMING-ITX/AC

Ryzen 3 2200G CAPU

And some 4 gigabytes of RAM. Whatever I can find the cheapest basically.

So here are my questions:

1. I would like to find a case that could hold two 3.5" drives (up to 4) if possible. But still be console-sized?

2. For a system that has a power draw of about 100W, what PSU can I get that could fit into a small-factor case? The lower the wattage, the better.

After looking through some cases and what is available here in Greece/Europe I found... nothing. BUT! I can order from US if your suggestions are from Amazon/NewEgg, assuming the PSU is 220V rated.

How can a case that holds 4 3.5 drives console size??? These drives already are as big as a console, not talking about the rest of internals.

I can recommend these 3 cases:

https://www.amazon.de/Sharkoon-One-PC-Gehäuse-Mini-ITX-interne/dp/B00TL8VN5I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1519733372&sr=8-1&keywords=sharkoon+itx

https://www.amazon.de/Sharkoon-PC-Gehäuse-Mini-ITX-extern-intern/dp/B00TJBCASG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1519733372&sr=8-2&keywords=sharkoon+itx

https://www.amazon.de/Sharkoon-Mini-Tower-Aluminium-PC-Gehäuse-Micro-ATX/dp/B00MLU5ZK2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1519733372&sr=8-3&keywords=sharkoon+itx

The first 2 are identical inside, the first one just has 2 more front usb ports. I have the second one, and it is a really good case. It can fit 2x 3.5 drives + 1 more 2.5 inch drive.

Just throw this in there: https://www.amazon.de/SilverStone-SST-ST30SF-2-0-flüsterleises-PC-Netzteil/dp/B01LY7UZNE/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1519733551&sr=1-2&keywords=sff+psu

And you are good to go. The third option is definately smaller, but doesnt fit a full sized graphics card, that is why i went with the second option. But you using a apu could use it.

And actually the first 2 options fit some atx power supplies too. If you have any questions use the quote botton or type @almostbauws.

Also the asus b350i and the x370i DONT HAVE VIDEO OUTS. You can't use the APU in those boards. You can get those 2 boards which have the video outs:

https://www.amazon.de/ASRock-AB350-GAMING-ITX-AC-Mainboard/dp/B073BFTJQK/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1519734043&sr=1-1&keywords=asrock+b350+itx

https://www.amazon.de/Gigabyte-FBA_GA-AB350N-GAMING-WIFI-GA-AB350N-GAMINGWIFI-Mainboard/dp/B073R8DB3G/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1519734135&sr=1-1&keywords=gigabyte+ab350n

I have the gigabyte one and it is good enough. 4 sata ports, rgb header, displayport and hdmi, relayable etc.

They can as I'll be using iGPU, so I don't need GPU space. I was looking into cases from Custom MOD Ukraine, but they told me that their first NAS case will come in a few weeks with a support of up to ~5 3.5" drives, at a console size (more or less).

Okay, did I really missed that part?

Changed to ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 GAMING-ITX/AC

I would rather not use Gigabyte board ever again.

1. Get a normal µATX Case, that seems to be what you really want.

2. 4GiB Memory isn't enough, get at least 8.

3. Normal ATX PSU are way better and chepaer than SFX PSU.

Those are more expensive while having worse performance than the ATX pendants.

3. There is a Silverstone DS380, although I'd rather recommend the CS380

1. Not against it, but first I want to go through all the smallest options available.

2. It's enough to simply run Windows on it. I'd go even with 2GB, but just to be safe, 4 it is.

3. I was even thinking of TFX ones. But finding a decent one is not easy.

And sorry, but those Silverstone cases are way too big for my taste. I did however like their VT02 but it has zero 3.5" bays:|

1. All other options are shit.

2. You should think about what you really want. There was a Windows Home Server edition that was pretty neat for this stuff. Or you could use a NAS Linux.

3. there ain't no really decent TFX ones, they are all shit. There are somewhat OKish SFX units on the market but they are rather expensive and the performance is still worse due to size restrictions (and the parts needed for LLC Resonant mode topologys).

Even the cheaper ATX PSU like be quiet Pure Power 10 with 400W/500W; Xilence Performance X, Corsair CX and so on outperform most of the SFX PSU. There are only a hand ful units that are somewhat decent. And some are decent but only have like two peripherial connectors.

4. There is one death you have to die. Those Silverstones are the best there is for fileservers.

Take it or leave it.

What you wish for just does not exist! Its impossible.
