GPU for Need For Speed Rivals

I really love racing games and I want to get rivals for my PC this time instead of console. Problem is I know my current CPU and GPU config(AMD A8-5600k with radeon 7560D) Can't play the game 60 FPS steady, So I am in need for a GPU. Around $200-250 USD and that I can OC. at least 2GB of VRAM. It can be AMD or Nvidia, doesn't matter to me.

Apparently the game is locked to 30FPS on PC anyways. I don't know if this has been addressed yet or not.

If you don't already have a good CPU cooler, get a Hyper 212 EVO and an R9 270. If you already have a good CPU cooler, get just a GTX 760.

Unless there was a major patch release for NFS:R, it should still be locked at 30 fps.

 

Screw those console brown nosing devs.

As usual this game is locked to a crappy 30FPS even on PC just like previous BFS games, the devs say the all drive system is the reason for this.

But modders found a way to unlock it to 60FPS. Here's how:

You need to created a shortcut to the game. You have to make a shortcut to NFS14.exe. The target shortcut will look something like this: 

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Need for Speed Rivals\NFS14.exe"

Now just edit this by adding -GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60 to the end of it.

Now the only problem with this is maintaining 60 fps all the time. Using my GTX670 I noticed it dropping to 40-50 which made it somewhat laggy, but when it was running at 60fps it was good and smooth.

Also guys, if you have issues with fps drops, try to add these lines as well: 

-MaxVariableFps 60 -MaxInactiveVariableFps 60

First thing I noticed was that it feels a bit different form the previous NFS games like The Run and Most Wanted. I wouldn't recommend buying it.

Watched only 8 minutes, now I know why you said that. WTF EA? It's a good title then the fking completely ruin the game! I loved the need for speed titles, but not anymore. TotalBiscuit is 100% correct on everything he says about the game. No doubt about it.

Conclusion: I'm not going to buy Rivals, the graphics are good, but the game it's self is crap. Not worth spending $60 on the game that ruined the NFS series.
