Hello! I am going to be building a PC soon (hopefully after the GPU prices drop).

I wanted an easy way to use internet, but my brother says I should use Ethernet (wired) because it is way faster. But, only one location in my household works for my modem, so moving that is pretty much not a solution because there isn't another place for me to put it.

So the question here is, should I get an access point/WiFi extender and plug my Ethernet into that? Or should I just get a WiFi chip?

I don't know if the Ethernet to the access point will have worse, or same speeds to just having a PCIe WiFi Card.

What do you guys think I should do?

Should I try and route an Ethernet cable through my home? Use a WiFi extender and plug Ethernet into that? Or should I just stick with a PCIe slot WiFi card.

Get a switch, try to see if you can route it through your home, if not I'd just get a WiFi card and maybe a Wifi Access Point (not extender)

Your two easiest options (outside of leaving a cable routed on the floor of your house), are getting a powerline adapter or using a WiFi card/adapter. Depending on the setup of your house, WiFi may not be suitable.
