PC build for work/gaming

Tereith2050

Hey guys. I'm currently in the midst of upgrading my pc. This time i wanna future proof myself as well as create a good pc for rendering etc.

My current build stands like this

EVGA GTX 1080 TI FTW3 GAMING

Kingston SSDNow KC400 512GB 2.5" SSD OEM

AMD AM4 RYZEN 7 1800X 8-core

Cooler Master MasterLiquid 120 watercooling

ASUS AM4 CROSSHAIR VI HERO

Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 3000MHz 16GB

---------------------------------

My intent is to create enterainment - Youtube videos / photoshop / 3dsmax / blender etc.

but also for gaming as i game a lot.

I wanna know if this pc is great for that purpose.

I'd love for my renders to be faster and sony vegas to be faster to work in - I'm rendering and recording in 1080p with 60fps

- I could if i wanted to buy threadripper - But i heard it's overkill

That looks pretty good. You should be fine for the most part with 16 threads, although you may do better with 32Gb RAM instead of just 16

Cooler Master MasterLiquid 120 watercooling

Your build is pretty good. All I can recommend is that you don't go with a 120mm radiator. Those things can be beaten by cheaper air coolers. So I'd look at either throwing a bit more cash on for the 240mm variant of the masterliquid or getting a really beefy air cooler for a similar price (which may end up more reliable in the end. Check out the tier list in my signature for ideas.

I'm keeping everything else the way it was for anyone who might check out my answers in future, but I won't be using LTT.

Any idea on how it will function in terms of rendering videos in 1080p 60fps?

I could be cheeky and throw in more for a better cpu but i hear the 1800x is a really well and powerfull cpu

Go for the 1700, same thing but slightly lower clocks, just overclock it back

Is that SSD new, or reused?
