CPU bent pins... Still works well

Alright so I bent some of my CPU pins while I was doing some cleaning. Now I did this some time ago, like about a year now I think by now.

The CPU seems to work fine, as I have ran some CPU test and I didn't notice anything.

I have a i7 6700k and a gigabyte z170x-gaming 

My real question is.... Should I try to fix it or leave the CPU alone

If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

Old PC:

CPU: Intel i7 8700K @4.9 GHz/1.315v

RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z CL16 3200 MHz

Mobo: Asus Prime Z370-A

If it works fine then don't do anything to it.

Don't do anything that'll potentially make it worse.

If it's an i7 6700k, the CPU doesn't have pins as it uses a LGA socket (Land Grid Array). The motherboard has "pins" on it instead.

 

If it's working fine, then you might have gotten lucky and they still make contact. You could try carefully fixing them by using a needle or other pointy thin object of the sort. Or just play it "safe" and leave it as-is.

To  be sure on Intel's website there is a map of each pin of the mobo - try to figure out which one are those you bent. As geo3 said, some of the are redundant, but if some of the damaged ones are linked to power delivery I would stay away from overclocking.

(from personal experience, I barely bent 2 pins and said goodbye to dualchannel RAM)

I had no idea that Intel gave that kind of information. Thank you.

I wasn't planning on OCIng since I bent those pins. 

The only good side is that the pins are on the side so I could try to fix them if needed.

make sure no pin criss cross each other. if it does, give a light tweez.
