Can I put a harddrive from another pc with WINDOWS on it into my system to recover Its data?

As the title says; I basically just wanna know if I can connect a harddrive that has windows on it and other data, into my other pc to recover the data from the harddrive? I’m also quite unsure what to do if it’s possible.. Can I still just copy everything over on my other drives like a normal pc with two harddrives?

I should say by "working machine" I mean you add the drive in question to the machine. you dont replace that machines drive. simply plug it in as a secondary drive

This ^^

Do not try booting from the other PC's drive.

Also you might have to do some stuff to the permissions to access the data if that other PC had a password on it.
