How do i get 244 hz

Hi 

I am a 15 year old boy and i am considering buying a new computer.... The cumputer i am considering buying has a 1080 and a msi 250 b 1151 krate motherboard....

I have a 244 hz monitor, but the motherboard has no displayport, can i het 244 hz from the computer?

 

Hahahaa i am soooo stupid the 1080 has DP

The output is from the GPU not the motherboard.

 

a 1080 will have a DP.

Probably gaming or helping technophobes with tech...

you plug your cable into the graphics card... not the motherboard.

You should be more specific about what you're looking into getting... 240hz is EXTREMELY demanding on the processor (CPU) not only on the video card.

 

Also you don't connect the video cables on your motherboard when you havea video card, you connect them on the video card.

No such thing as a 244hz monitor. And you don't plug your display port into your motherboard, if you do you use the onboard graphics. You have to plug it into the 1080.

Not enough for 240hz gaming, outside the super easy to run titles like League of Legends.

Im afraid that unless youre playing gpu demanding games, or light games like csgo, you will likely have trouble reaching over 160fps. (Siege will keep you around 120fps likely, as an example)

You are going to need an overclocked 7700K or 8700K to really be able to pull that kind of FPS in games
