Ok so my first build, having been looking at building a PC for months, I drowned my laptop so "had" to get my PC parts. I have been gaming and trying to edit video and photos on a 5 year old dell laptop and it just wasn't cutting it so after many many youtube vids I decided that I could go ahead and build my own PC.

Success with it powering up and getting to the BIOS first time and installing windows first time. (not a big achievement to experienced PC user but for me it was)

Here it is.

Specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with stock cooler (for now)

ROG Strix B-350 F

Asus GTX1060 6GB

Corsair Vengeance LPX 8gb 2400 MHz

225GB m.2 SATA SSD as my boot drive

x2 2TB HDD for games and the second for media

Corsair TX750M

Asus PCIE Wireless adapter

Corsair Carbide 100R

x2 140mm fans

x3 120mm fans

NZXT Sentry 3 fan controller

Dell U2417

Dell U2414

Peripherals:

Cougar Ultimus RGB with Cherry MX Brown keys

SteelSeries Rival 700 Gaming Mouse

SteelSeries Siberia 840 Headphones

Xbox one elite controller and a steam controller

Damn! I came expecting some questions about a build, left seeing a very well put together build and a very clean set up.

Paint me impressed.

I even like the peripheral selection which is extremely rare :P

Very nice. Do you leave the light on behind the monitors on while gaming?

I7-7700k@5.1ghz + 1080ti @ 2050mhz + 32gbs Ram + 2TB SSD = CSGO

i7-6700k@4.9ghz + 980ti @ 1501mhz + 16gbs Ram + 1 TB SSD = Backup

i7-3770k@4.8ghz + 680 4gb + 32gbs Ram + 500gb SSD = Retired/Office work

Just a heads up, make sure the bottom of your PC isn't on carpet. The carpet will block the air going into the power supply and cause it to overheat. I have had to replace a bunch of power supplies because of this.

Intel Core i9-9900K, ASUS PRIME Z270-A, 64 GB G.SKILL Trident Z, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 (MSI GAMING X TRIO) all in a white InWin 303 case

Read the following if you want, but I warn you, it may be complete nonsense.

Yeah that is an issue. I check the dust filter under the psu every few days and it is always pretty dusty. I assume just a bit of hard plastic would help a lot?

Get some cable ties, and submit your build to TechSource and you could possibly win!

To tidy up the back of the PC and behind the monitor or just the last few cables in the PC? and thanks for the support!!
