Best GPU for about $200 USD?

TheTurtleKing

What would be the best GPU with HDMI output for about 200 USD in your opinion?

A color scheme of black or red would be optimal.

I'm guessing that means I'm stuck with AMD?

is there an NVIDIA red?

You not going to get anything that is brand new for that price unless its maybe a 1050ti or rx 560 which for the money are not worth it.

I would seriously consider getting a used GTX 970 / 980. I just recently got a 970 for my girlfriends computer and it runs her 1440p monitor just fine even playing Call of duty or sims at high settings I was still getting 60 FPS if not higher depending on the game.

Cheers.

PS I paid 220.$ CAD for the card and it is almost on par with the 1060 / 580.

Go on Craiglist, eBay, and /r/buildapcsales, you can find GTX 970's and 980's for around that price. I picked up a reference 970 for $200 through eBay for a secondary rig. They go for cheaper on Craigslist, but my secondary rig is ITX so the reference cooler was what I wanted.

970 here as well for $200 last week, an ASUS Mini.

If you dont need the VRAM a GTX 690 would be super powerful for the $150 it's been going for. And all ballery not to mention.

Sucks to recommend a more than three year old card, but used GTX 970 is the best you're going to do for $200 most likely.

Four hundred US dollars? I would sell my 970 in a second for $400.
