ASUS GTX STRIX 1080 BAD?

I have heard had things about this card and that it has high rma. Is this? Is this card really not as good at i thought it was ?

the more cards they sell, the more cards get sent back for repairs.

SuperPi (v1.5 from Techpowerup, PI value output) 16K: 0.100s 1M: 8.255s 32M: 7m 45.93s

So Asus is bad at making gpu's ? Or are you just implying that their cards are very popular so there are more cards out there so the more returns there will be ?

duh I mean you shouldnt worry about the cards failing. More RMA is caused by selling more cards, which means it's still good in terms of ratio. That said, their customer service is miles behind EVGa.

What would be more wise, to buy a 1080 now or wait for the new gtx series to come out ?

With the cost they have right now, I'd consider buying it only in the 400-450€ range, which they are a lot away from. 

 

Waiting is, imho, a good choice right now.

Asus makes the cards, not the gpu’s. Also a lot of people rma because they don’t understand tech and their card didn’t do the same as someone’s on YouTube. Or they simply can’t use a computer correctly. 

 

This card was used to break the record at the time the third party cards came out, so it’s good for something.
