Need help my optical drive does not show up on windows

My optical drive does not show up in windows or device manager for some reason so I checked on the connections and everything is ok I recently got a new motherboard as my old one failed

I don't know what to do please help.

If the SATA data cable, and SATA power cable are connected properly:

 

Does it show in BIOS?

If yes, then you can scan for new hardware in windows and it *may* pick it up.

If No, then you have a bad cable, power, drive, or motherboard.  I'd try replacing the cables first.

Just had to enable a sata port on my motherboard thanks.
