PC when plugged in flickers on and off.

MattDouglas

Some background is that last night my GTX 1060 fell out of place in my case as my card is too heavy for my case. After spending time trying to fix it I decided to just remove the plug connecting to my PSU to turn my pc off as it wouldn’t turn of by the button and I was fixing my graphics card so i couldn’t do anything on my PC to turn it off. Today I went to try to take my graphics card out and when i plugged the cable back into the PSU my pc instantly started flickering on and off, about every half second, I have GTX 1060, my PSU is 650W. When I pulled a specific wire connected to my PSU inside my PC it stopped the flickering and I was able to turn my PC on but I can’t remember the wire and i’ve tried this again but no results.

You mean the computer wouldn't shut down if you held down the power button?

Also, what do you mean by "fell out of place"?

What are all your specs? Exact to the model number if possible is preferred

was about to ask the same question - if that card was installed and screwed down properly how could it possibly ever "fall out of place"

Well the card is too heavy for the case but it works but every so often it loses place as a result.

Was it secured properly? Again, what are all your specs? Exact details, please: brands, models, etc
