What CPUs can i put into H110M mobos ?

Hi guys, i've recently bought a G4560 and im curious what CPU can i put in my H110M mobo for a future upgrade?I also have 1050Ti.

It will work just fine with the CPU and GPU you have.

BOINC Setup:
i5 7200U @ Stock

Core2Duo T6600 @ Stock

i3 2330M @ Stock

i5 3210M @ Stock

Well it makes more sense to buy that one because you can't overclock the 'K' version on that board.

Well, I assume a 7700K will plug in and work fine, as it's the same socket (LGA1151) but you won't be able to overclock to my knowledge (as that's done with Z series boards)

Nothing, it's not worth upgrading on that platform, and the VRM on the motherboard is likely very basic

Well, if you want to upgrade down the road, there will be newer, better platforms that are probably more worth your money at that point.

If all you do is gaming at 60hz your CPU is fine

 

Whenever you upgrade you want to be on AM4 or Z370 or Z390, whatever intel decides

 

I would probably stick to AM4 for Ryzen +/Ryzen 2 8 cores

I wouldn't trust the VRM of a cheap H110 board to handle a 7700k, plus you can't OC on that board making it pointless to get a K skew chip with that board anyway, repurpose the machine into a mining rig, slap a couple GPU's in it and make it pay for itself and for it's future upgrade.

If you already have the h110 board and are happy with the performance then yes, but a used i7 7700 in a couple years and that will last you into 2022.

 

@Streetguru

If you currently are running the lowest end CPU, then you can't really call your mobo a dead end yet.

@Streetguru

Even by then you can likely get 6 core ryzen chips at the same price and just need a motherboard swap for an extra $70-100
