I'd go with the Dell, on the basis that it has a mechanical HDD as well as an SSD giving you lots of storage for big games, they have the same GPU, and the processors run at similar clock speeds, but the hyper threading won't give a major advantage in games.

I already have an 1TB HDD so that will end up as an extra accessories but the Dell's 1060 Max-Q might be little less powerful than the normal 1060 so....

Have you looked at any specific benchmarks comparing the two machines?

7577 is better, better cooling design, better build quality, slighly longer battery life, Thunderbolt 4 PCIe lanes support. A bit heavy though, display is only slightly worse than Helios 300, 1060 Max-Q has slightly reduced performance but with tweakings and the excellent cooling system, it should match the regular mobile 1060. Spec wise 7300HQ and 8GB RAM is enough for most games.

Also, please don't compare brands, buy laptop by model not brand.

Desktop specs:

Spoiler

AMD Ryzen 5 5600 Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB Gigabyte B550M DS3H mATX

Asrock Challenger Pro OC Radeon RX 6700 XT Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8Gx2) 3600MHz CL18 Kingston NV2 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

Montech Century 850W Gold Tecware Nexus Air (Black) ATX Mid Tower

Laptop: Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro 16ACH6

Phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro 8+128

Yes, I have looked at some. But with 16GB ram and normal 1060 in the helios, it is better than dell in that specific model.

If the ram in dell is easily upgradable then i might go for the dell

That was only a title thing, if i can get better specs at lower price then brand name won't matter to me.

Out of those 2, Dell. Now only if they have a Core i7 or 8th gen Core i5, that would be even better.

Intel Xeon E5 1650 v3 @ 3.5GHz 6C:12T / CM212 Evo / Asus X99 Deluxe / 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 3000 Trident-Z / Samsung 850 Pro 256GB / Intel 335 240GB / WD Red 2 & 3TB / Antec 850w / RTX 2070 / Win10 Pro x64

HP Envy X360 15: Intel Core i5 8250U @ 1.6GHz 4C:8T / 8GB DDR4 / Intel UHD620 + Nvidia GeForce MX150 4GB / Intel 120GB SSD / Win10 Pro x64

HP Envy x360 BP series Intel 8th gen

AMD ThreadRipper 2!

5820K & 6800K 3-way SLI mobo support list

Just be aware that some models aren't built well even they have good specs at low price (MSI GL/GP series and Asus FX/GL series for instance)
