Buying a used iPhone

Right now I have an iPhone 6 at&t. I’m planning on getting the iPhone 8+ but it’s a bit much for a new one. Looking through the Facebook marketplace I found a few iPhones that are 600-650 price range. What are some things I should look for when purchasing a used phone to make sure nothings wrong with it.

I'd say to check if the screen has been replaced at some point, but its super hard and unless the repair job has been done poorly you basically cannot know.

 

Used iPhones also have a tendancy to have a super loose home button and lock button, but that depends on the user.

1. Make sure its not locked to the previous owners Apple id for starters!

2. Original parts still on it? If not it main drain more battery or even the battery itself can have been replaced along side the screen! O3O

3. If 100% original the battery might have to be replaced know any apple stores that can do it for you? ((not sure about cost))

make sure it has a fresh battery or it will run slow

Call Apple and also have the seller transfer ownership to you...

 

...or nuke it from space. It's the only way to be sure.

How do you know if the Apple ID is locked or not?

A good third party can probably do the battery repair as well, though I do stress the word "Good".

Well for old phones the new copy parts are in some cases superior over the original by Apple, but for 7 and newer do not hold your breath. :3
