Currently I have a single 1070 on a Gigabyte AX370-Gaming K3. On Gigabyte's website it says it supports Crossfire but not SLI, perhaps due to the second slot being 3.0 x4 bandwidth. Is it somehow possible for me to add in a second 1070 in SLI? Or perhaps sell my 1070 and grab a couple of Vega GPUs?

No sli for you but dual vega is possible. You'd need a new PSU though.

Yeah I thought so. I'm looking for Vega cards but they're so damn expensive right now and have barely any availability.

A single 1080 Ti perhaps, but if I'm going to stay with a single GPU then I'm happy with the 1070 until I get a 4K monitor.

I agree with this statement

You could use 2GPUs in like Ashes, but ya you need SLI certification, because nvidia sucks

But multi-GPU is a waste of money in any event just save up for the next gen GPUs.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Perfect excuse not to sli, it's not worth it. This is coming from some1 who went from sli back to single card.

With the price of 2 vega GPUs u can buy a 1080 ti, and the power draw lol.

1x 1080 ti > 2x 1070.

In every thinkable way :)

Except 1: You play Benchmarks, that scale 100% with Multi-GPU.

Otherwise, in average, 2 1070s will somewhat reach 1 1080 ti level (IF the game scales with sil. If it doesnt, you only have 1 1070).

But 1 1080 ti has lower power consumption, more Vram, much faster memory bandwidth.

And it costs less, than 2 single 1070s.

So... my honest advice: If your 1070 doesn't have enough performance, SELL IT, and buy a 1080 ti.

Even if your Motherboard would support Sli, i would not recommend it. it's a bad idea.
