Use a screwdriver, righty-tighty left-loosy :) It shouldn't take much force. The push pins are a newer design.

just unscrew them and you can remove the cooler just fine.

twist hard , use the correct size screw driver.

if you use a screw driver that has a bit that is too big it won't work very well.

really turn it like a lot and lift at the same time

i kinda unscrewed only one side, the other sides dont bother being unscrewed

do you mean that they spin forever and do nothing?

if so , pull the motherboard out and see if you can hold still whatever the cooler is using for a back plate  , it might just be a few nuts that are spinning in place.

it will probably stick because of the thermal paste but really it is a matter of picking the right screwdriver and unscrewing it. If that is really not working take a look at the back of the motherboard, maybe something is wrong there as emosun suggested.

if all screws are just spinning then pull on it, should just pop off. try spinning it, if it spinns it should just pull of even if it takes a lot of force

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Looking at the picture they might, might be already unscrewed as there is no pressure on the springs visible. But as everyone suggested you need to unscrew them. And as stefanDB said, the thermal paste might be a little sticky so don't pull but gently rotate the cooler, not much so you won't interfere the cpu cooler screws with something on the motherboard.

picture is stock photography. he's using it for reference, it doesn't ACTUALLY look like that.

it could be that "nut" (for a lack of a better word) is no longer captive and is spinning with the assembly.remove the motherboard and inspect the back plate that the crew interfaces with. if the "nut" spins with the screw, hold the "nut" still either with your fingers or an appropriate tool while you unscrew.
