many tower coolers can use regular case fans if you wanted to :P

You can use case fans as CPU heatsink fans. I've used many times. The only downside would be the missing 4pin PWM connector on the fan.

I "improved" my Hyper TX3 in my last rig with a Noctua 90mm fan with 4-pin luckily. Ran beautifully :D
