Hey guys I'm looking at buying a mechanical back lit gaming keyboard but don't really know much about them... you guys got any recommendations?

Welcome to the forums!

 

From what I've seen, Logitech and Corsair tend to make the best keyboards/mice; I personally prefer Corsair, so probably a K70 or K95 from them. What's your budget?

Yeah, razer is crap, OP shouldn't waste money on that stuff. :D

I got a budget of around £100 for a keyboard, of course i would rather keep below it if possible.

Depends what kind of switch feel you want. And how much clickyness you can stand (and those around you). I highly recommend Corsair keyboards (brown switches for me) and STAY AWAY FROM RAZER.

In honesty if im engrossed in a game i dont really care about those around me having to put up with the clickyness, currently using some old dell membrane keyboard but figured ill treat myself to a christmas present and its been on the cards for a while.

Priced as an expensive mechanical keyboard, much worse than the average chinese copy.

I tried a mechanical keyboard with MX blues, "razer green" piece of shit switches and MX blue chinese copies. The fake blues are almost as good as real blues but holy crap razer green switches are bad, like really bad.
