I hope people start to push for SLI to be more widely used and efficient. Not the second GPU only using some of its power, 1:1

Yeah, either it dies, or becomes an actual good solution that is widely supported.

Whatever will those with one 1080 TI, but in need of more GPU power, do if SLI doesn't exist. :P

this morning I had breakfast watching an LTT video and now this evening I'll have late dinner watching this ... that is just perfect timing :)

A bit more on topic :

It is quite interesting how they did this, imagining this years ago .. no way is what I thought; look at this now!

Personally wouldn't buy it though, I'm happy using my Clevo with a GTX960M & Quad Core 2.4GHz i5; When I go hardcore PCMR I'll go on my desktop anyhow.

Who needs more GPU power? Plus, if they need it that bad, they can use it right now, and by then there will be more powerful cards.

For this particular laptop, I feel workstation users would find it favorable to a single 1080 configuration as compute power scales extremely well with certain tasks such as rendering. For gaming however, I would be hesitant to recommend this.

Seems like this laptop is really for productivity in the form of video editing and 3d Rendering than gaming; to me it seems like a workstation laptop i mean doesn't video editing and 3d rendering take better advantage of SLI config than gaming does?

Well, not necessarily SLI, as some CUDA workloads work perfectly fine with mismatching video csrds. SLI itself is for gaming, compute applications can use multiple cards without SLI.

Good question. Who needs a 1080Ti? Or even a 1070 for that matter?

We don't need $300+ GPUs. We want $300+ GPUs. It's not like we can't play games at 1024x768 on low settings with low end and integrated GPUs.

That being said, I'm one of those who wants more than a GTX 1080Ti, because I'm a DSR/SSAA slut who has a hard on for ReShade.
