So I am doing a build for a client of mine who works with 4k raw footage that ranges from 10-250GB in size.  So we went Threadripper 16 core, 64GB of ram, GTX 1080 TI.  The first CPU came in with a broken lead/transistor (pics in an earlier post).  Then it kept hanging up when booting from a flash driver.  Apparently, x399 DOESN'T support NTFS bootable flash drives out of the gate.  Luckily MSI has a flash utility that does not require the flash drive to be bootable and there was a BIOS update.  However, after its all said and done, this PC has a TON of threads....

could you list out what are the issue you are facing with the build?

you are using MSI board since you mentioned using MSI flash utility

looks like you never build any other AMD builds as complicated as the Treadripper

It absolutely does.  I recommend that you disable CSM and install Windows in full UEFI.
